About Me

I am a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. My professional coaching training was honed at 3 schools: MentorCoach, CoachU and at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I also spent a year studying functional medicine at the School for Applied Functional Medicine (SAFM). Having had my own struggles with GI issues growing up, I gravitated towards holistic practitioners who did not prescribe medications but rather emphasized dietary changes, lifestyle modifications and supplementation to help the body heal.

This shift in perspective led me to study functional medicine to learn more about the root causes of disease and how we can start to reverse some disease processes given the right tools and of course love. Having worked in medicine for the last 20 years, I have witnessed firsthand the effect of how the American diet, in combination with our lifestyle dynamics have ravaged the health care system and why the need is so great for education and transformation

I was first introduced to the coaching profession in 2005 as it was gaining traction and loved how it beautifully harmonized with and enriched my training as a trauma therapist and social worker. I recognized that in addition to being a therapist and mentor for women, I had in fact been coaching them all along.  I know first-hand how powerful the coaching relationship can be and what can arise out of having one’s personal champion help you identify, navigate and ultimately achieve your goals. I derive great pleasure in engaging and empowering people to make lasting changes to optimize their wellness, health, and overall life satisfaction.

A lot of us feel disconnected from our bodies due to the pressure, expectations and speed of our daily lives. How do you align with joy? What is one change you could make to your health right now that would be life-altering?
